Public opinion statement
We are following with great concern the issue of the kidnapping/disappearance of citizen/ Mona Hashem Ismail, since last Friday, June 3, 2021 AD, following a report submitted by her husband, Waheed Seif Kulaib, to the Crater Police Department./Aden.
Through our follow-up to the course of the case, the manner of abuse of the local authority and the competent security authorities, the reactions of the street to the communication, and what was published by some pens and in social media about information and news that raise many questions about the beneficiaries of such a campaign, misleading and characterization of the course of the case.
The Southern Independent Human Rights Group would like to clarify to the public the following:
1- The husband / Waheed Saeed Kulaib submitted an official report to the Crater Police Department about the kidnapping/disappearance of his wife/ Mona Hashem Ismail, specifying the names of the suspects in the kidnapping incident.
2- Crater Police summoned the suspects in the husband's complaint, and they were released immediately after the investigation, without the family or public opinion knowing about the results of that summons or what happened in it.
3-The misleading promotional campaigns carried out by some pens with the aim of diverting the course of the case from kidnapping and personal and family disputes raise to us several questions about the beneficiary of spreading these rumors among citizens and divert the attention of public opinion about a serious incident that transcended all morals and norms, and their constant chant that it is not a kidnapped but hidden in a house Her father and in agreement with her husband.
4- Ten days after that incident and the complaint, a member of the southern group went down to the residence of the citizen/ Mona Hashem Ismail, in Crater city, and met with her husband and family members, and heard from them what happened and knew where the procedures had reached before the competent authorities. And we were informed that the procedures were suspended and they did not reach a result. Rather, some accuse the family itself that they know its whereabouts and that it is not kidnapped, but rather hidden by its own will, and this has increased their psychological suffering.
5- We were contacted today by phone with the Director of Aden Police, Major General / Mutahhar Al-Shuaibi, who referred us to contact the Director of the Crater Police Department.
Through what has been clarified to us and what has been learned from meetings and communication with more than one party and more than one person, the Southern Independent Human Rights Group confirms that it is unacceptable and after ten days of the incident, things remain as they are and that there is a default and irresponsible on the part of the governorate and the director Security Department, and for this we go to the concerned authorities in the capital, Aden, to confirm the demand for the following:
1- The competent security authorities in the governorate of Aden, headed by the governor, in his capacity as the head of the governorate’s Supreme Security Committee and the director of the Aden police, bear their legal and moral responsibilities towards the kidnapped/disappeared Mona Hashem Ismail and her bereaved family, and to deal with her husband’s report with responsibility and humanity, and they are responsible for revealing her fate to her relatives and for public opinion.
2- The Aden Police Director should issue an official statement to the public opinion indicating where the procedures for collecting evidence and investigations related to this case have reached and revealing who was behind the rumors about the presence of the kidnapped/disappeared in her family’s house.
3- To all civil society organizations, especially women’s organizations and groups, to move seriously and responsibly in solidarity with the family of the kidnapped/disappeared Mona Hashem Ismail, and to put pressure on the competent authorities to reveal the truth and know the kidnapped's fate.
4- To the local public opinion not to be drawn into the rumors spread about this case and divert it from its course and turn it into contradictions so as not to deviate and affect the investigation procedures in it.
5- To everyone who has information to submit it to the competent authorities to help uncover and know the fate of the kidnapped/disappeared Mona Hashem Ismail.

بيان للراي العام
نتابع بقلق وحرص شديدين قضية اختطاف/اختفاء المواطنة/ منى هاشم اسماعيل، منذ يوم الجمعة الماضي 3/6/2021م، عقب بلاغ تقدم به زوجها/ وحيد سيف كليب ، الى قسم شرطة كريتر./عدن
ومن خلال متابعتنا لمجريات القضية وطريقة تعاطي السلطة المحلية والجهات الامنية المختصة وردود افعال الشارع على البلاغ وما تم نشرة من بعض الأقلام وفي وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي عن معلومات واخبار تثير الكثير من التساؤلات حول الجهات المستفيده من هكذا حمله وتضليل وحرف لمسار القضيه
تود المجموعة الجنوبية المستقلة لحقوق الانسان ان توضح للراي العام مايلي:
1- تقدم الزوج / وحيد سعيد كليب ببلاغ رسمي الى قسم شرطة كريتر عن واقعة اختطاف/اختفاء زوجته/ منى هاشم اسماعيل ، محددا فيه اسماء المتهمين بواقعة الاختطاف .
2- استدعت شرطة كريتر المشتبه بهم في شكوى الزوج، وتم اطلاق سراحهم بعد التحقيق مباشرة دون معرفة الاسرة او الراي العام عن نتائج ذلك الاستدعاء او ماتم فيه.
3-حملات الترويج المضللة التي دأبت عليها بعض الاقلام بهدف حرف مسار القضية من أختطاف واختفاء إلى مناكفات وخلافات شخصية وأسرية تثير لدينا تساؤلات عدة عن المستفيد من بث هذة الأشاعات بين المواطنين وحرف أنظار الرأي العام حول بادرة وواقعة خطيرة تجاوزت كل الاخلاق والاعراف ومن وراها ، ومنها ترديدهم المستمر أنها ليست مختطفه بل مختفية في منزل والدها وباتفاق مع زوجها
4- بعد مرور عشرة ايام من تلك الواقعة والشكوى تم النزول من قبل عضو المجموعة الجنوبية الى مسكن المواطنة/ منى هاشم اسماعيل ، في مدينة كريتر ، وتم اللقاء بزوجها وافراد اسرتها ، والاستماع منهم لما حصل ومعرفة اين وصلت الاجراءات امام الجهات المختصة ، وتم افادتنا بان الاجراءات متوقفة ولم يصلوا الى نتيجة ، بل ان هناك من يوجه الاتهام الى الاسرة نفسها بانهم يعرفون مكان تواجدها وانها ليست مختطفة ، بل مختفية بارادتها، وهذا ما زاد من معاناتهم النفسية .
5- تم التواصل اليوم هاتفيا مع مدير شرطة عدن اللواء/ مطهر الشعيبي والذي احالنا لتواصل مع مدير قسم شرطة كريتر
ومن خلال ماتم ايضاحة لنا وما تم معرفته من اللقاءات والتواصل مع اكثر من جهة واكثر من شخص ، فان المجموعة الجنوبية المستقلة لحقوق الانسان، تؤكد انه من غير المقبول او المعقول وبعد مرور عشرة ايام على الواقعة تظل الامور كما هي وان هناك تقصير وغير مسؤول من قبل المحافظة ومدير إدارة الامن ، ولهذا نتوجه الى الجهات المعنية في العاصمة عدن للتاكيد بالمطالبة بما يلي :
1- الجهات الامنية المختصة بمحافظة عدن وعلى راسها محافظة المحافظة بصفته رئيس اللجنة الامنية العليا بالمحافظة ومدير شرطة عدن ، تحمل مسئولياتهم القانونية والاخلاقية تجاة المختطفة/ المختفية منى هاشم اسماعيل واسرتها المفجوعة بها، والتعامل مع بلاغ زوجها بمسؤوليه وانسانية ، وتقع عليهم مسئولية الكشف عن مصيرها لذويها وللراي العام.
2- على مدير شرطة عدن اصدار بيان رسمي للراي العام يبين فيه الى اين وصلت اجراءات جمع الاستدلال والتحريات الخاصة بهذه القضية وكشف من كان خلف الاشاعات عن وجود المختطفه/المختفية في بيت اهلها .
3- الى كافة منظمات المجتمع المدني وعلى وجه الخصوص المنظمات والمجموعات النسوية التحرك الجاد والمسئول للتضامن مع اسرة المختطفة/ المختفية منى هاشم اسماعيل ،والضغط على الجهات المختصة لكشف الحقيقة ومعرفة مصير المختطفة.
4- الى الراي العام المحلي عدم الانجرار خلف الشائعات التي يتم بثها في هذه القضية وحرفها عن مسارها وتحويلها الى مناكفات حتى لا تنحرف وتتاثر اجراءات التحقيق فيها .
5- الى كل من لدية معلومة تقديمها الى الجهات المختصة للمساعدة في كشف ومعرفة مصير المختطفة/ المختفيه منى هاشم اسماعيل
