We are following with great concern the continuing violations of the rights of detainees in Shabwa governorate, the most heinous torture practices against detainees, the use of known "pressure", insult system and inhuman mistreatment of them.
Since the governor of Shabwah, "Muhammad Saleh bin Adio", assumed the post of governor, his party authority (the Islah Party) has exercised numerous violations against the people and Shabwah activists. Where Violations have escalated in Shabwa governorate between killing, widespread arrest campaigns, suppression of peaceful activities and torture of detainees.
As one of the released detainees narrated to us from the prisons under the governorate of Shabwa who were arrested because of their participation in the activities of the transitional in Al-Masna'a.
He said: We are placed in the basement of political security, which is a narrow place similar to an oven. We sleep on the floor and there are not even mattresses to sleep on, and there is no lighting up the place is very dark even while using the bathroom , we are shocked by the electric wire on our bodies And beating us with a stick, and in additional to intentional insults.
One of the released detainees said that among those who torture the detained sons of Shabwa are northern soldiers,
He talked about the existence of another section, which is secret prisons, very narrow and small, in which we are not even able to stretch our bodies. Otherwise, a "pressing" torture machine is used to torture us inside prisons.
The violations continue today at noon, as one of the points belonging to the governor of Shabwah killed the Shabwani citizen "Ahmed Abu Bakr Tarbash" when he passed through a checkpoint with his family, and that was because of the presence of the southern flag on his car.
We condemn in the strongest terms these violations and inhuman treatment against the detainees, as we condemn the murder committed by members of the point of the Shabwah governor, and we hold the Yemeni government and the leader of the Arab coalition in Shabwah fully responsible for protecting the people of Shabwah and referring the perpetrators of violations and killings to the judiciary, on top of them the Governor of Shabwa, and taking severe penalties for that Crimes against detainees.
We also call for the closure of secret and illegal prisons in Shabwa governorate.
القتل وانتهاكات حقوق الإنسان تتصاعد في محافظة #شبوة
نتابع وبقلق بالغ الإنتهاكات المتواصلة بحق المعتقلين في محافظة شبوه، وممارسة أبشع أنواع التعذيب بحق المعتقلين ،واستخدام المعروف "بالضغاط" والإهانات وإساءة معاملتهم الممنهجه واللا إنسانية
منذ تولي محافظ شبوة "محمد صالح بن عديو", منصب المحافظ مارس وسلطتة الحزبية (حزب الاصلاح) انتهاكات عده بحق أبناء ومواطني ونشطاء شبوه، حيث تصاعدت حدة الانتهاكات في محافظة شبوة بين قتل وحملات اعتقال واسعة، وقمع للفعاليات السلمية وتعذيب للمعتقلين
حيث روى لنا أحد المعتقلين المفرج عنهم من داخل السجون الخاضعة لمحافظ شبوة والذي تم اعتقالهم بسبب مشاركتهم بفعالية الانتقالي في المصينعة
قائلا : يتم وضعنا في البدروم الخاص بالأمن السياسي ، وهو مكان ضيق شبيهه بالفرن ،ننام على الأرض ولا يوجد حتى فرش ننام عليه، ولا يوجد حتى اضاءه المكان مظلم جدا، حتى أثناء استخدامنا للحمام يتم صعقنا بالسلك الكهربائي على أجسادنا والضرب علينا بالعصا اضافة للإهانات المتعمده
وقال أحد المعتقلين المفرج عنهم أن من بين من يقوم بتعذيب ابناء شبوه المعتقلين جنود وعساكر شمالين ،،وتحدث عن وجود قسم آخر وهو عبارة عن سجون سرية ضيقه وصغيره جدا، لانقدر حتى على أن نمد أجسادنا فيها ، غير ذلك يتم استخدام آلة التعذيب"الضاغطة" لتعذيبنا داخل السجون
وما زال في سجون محافظ شبوه عشرات المعتقلين من بينهم قيادات محلية للمجلس الانتقالي ويطالهم كل أنواع التعذيب
وتتواصل الانتهاكات اليوم ظهرا حيث قامت إحدى النقاط التابعة لمحافظ شبوه بقتل المواطن الشبواني" أحمد ابوبكر تربش" عند مروره بنقطة تفتيش هو وعائلتة, وكان ذلك بسبب وجود علم الجنوب على سيارتة
ندين بأشد العبارات هذه الإنتهاكات والمعاملة اللاانسانية بحق المعتقلين كما ندين جريمة القتل التي ارتكبها افراد النقطة التابعة لمحافظ شبوه، ونحمل الحكومة اليمنية وقائد التحالف العربي في شبوة المسؤولية الكاملة في حماية أبناء شبوه وإحالة مرتكبي الإنتهاكات والقتل وعلى رأسهم محافظ شبوة إلى القضاء واتخاذ العقوبات الصارمة حيال تلك الجرائم المرتكبة بحق المعتقلين
كما نطالب بإغلاق السجون السرية والغير قانونية في محافظة شبوه
