On the sidelines of the activities of the 50th session of the Human Rights Council, SIG coordinates an important meeting on the poverty file in Hodeidah and the southern governorates, and puts shocking and updated reports in the hands of the Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty in Geneva.
In the framework of meetings and communication with international organizations carried out by the SIG, the group arranged and coordinated a meeting with "Ann Keepers", his representative of the Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty at the United Nations and a representative of the Southern Group, the journalist Bassim Al-Janani from Al-Hodeidah Governorate, and the southern media and human rights defender Ms. Mona Ahmed
during the meeting, the files of suffering in Tehama and the southern governorates were presented regarding the lack of food, the expansion of poverty, the lack of services, the absence of the international role through their representatives in those governorates, and the failure to deliver aid to those who deserve it.
the government’s role in the south and the Houthi militia in Tihama repudiating their duties towards the citizen in light of the continuation of the war which leads to unemployment and poverty rates.

في إطار اللقاءات والتواصل مع المنظمات الأممية التي تقوم بها #المجموعة_الجنوبية_المستقلة قامت المجموعة بالترتيب والتنسيق للقاء جمع "أن كيبرس" ممثله عن المقرر الخاص بالفقر المدقع لدى الأمم المتحدة و مندوب عن المجموعة الجنوبية الصحفي بسيم الجناني من محافظة الحديدة والإعلامية الجنوبية المدافعة عن حقوق الانسان الاستاذة منى أحمد ، وجرى في اللقاء عرض ملفات المعاناة في تهامة والمحافظات الجنوبية فيما يتعلق بنقص الغذاء وتوسع رقعة الفقر وإنعدام الخدمات وغياب الدور الأممي عبر ممثليهم في تلك المحافظات وعدم إيصال المساعدات لمستحقيها وتنصل الدور الحكومي في الجنوب وميليشيا الحوثي في تهامة عن القيام بواجباتهم نحو المواطن في ظل إستمرار الحرب مما تسبب في ريادة معدلات البطالة والفقر.
