The Southern Independent Group is following with great concern the harassment and violations of journalists and media professionals in the province of Hadramout, as the southern group received several reports, the most recent of which was the journalist # Muhammad_Abdul-Wahab_ Al-Yazidi.
Two cars were located near the journalist's house, one of which is affiliated with the intelligence services carrying armed men in civilian clothes to search for and track him, apparently to arrest him or send an implicit threatening message to him as was preceded by several hostile acts and violations of a number of journalists, including, for example, the TV director # Hassan_Bharish and # Abdullah_Bakeer who was arrested Previously.
These illegal acts create an environment in which journalists are fearful and insecure.
The Southern Group calls on the authorities in Hadhramaut to stop these actions that violate local laws, work to protect journalist and bear full responsibility for protecting journalists and their lives in their areas of authority.
The group also calls on international organizations, the envoy’s office and all concerned parties to put pressure on the authorities in Mukalla to stop them from this heinous behavior, and pledges to continue conveying the suffering of journalists and media professionals in Mukalla to all relevant international bodies.

بيان صادر من المجموعة الجنوبية المستقلة لحقوق الإنسان
تتابع #المجموعة_الجنوبية_المستقلة بقلق بالغ المضايقات والإنتهاكات التي تطال الصحفيين والإعلاميين في محافظة #حضرموت حيث ورد للمجموعة الجنوبية عدة بلاغات كان آخرها ما طال الصحفي #محمد_عبد_الوهاب_اليزيدي حيث تواجدت سياراتان بالقرب من منزل الصحفي احداها تتبع للإستخبارات تحمل مسلحين بالزي المدني للبحث عنه وتعقبه فيما يبدوا لإعتقاله او ارسال رسالة تهديد ضمني له ، كما سبقها عدة اعمال عدائية وانتهاكات طالت عدد من الصحفين منهم على سبيل الذكر وليس الحصر المخرج التلفزيوني #حسن_باحريش و #عبدالله_بكير الذي تم اعتقاله سابقا، ويبدو أن هذه المضايقات والتهديدات تأتي على خلفية عملهم الصحفي.
ان هذه الأعمال الغير قانونية واللا انسانية تخلق بيئة يتعاظم فيها الخوف لدى الصحفيين والشعور بعدم الأمان.
تطالب المجموعة الجنوبية السلطات في حضرموت الكف عن هذه الأفعال التي تنافي القوانين المحلية النافذه والقانون الدولي بالحق في التعبير وحماية الصحفيين ووسائل الاعلام وتحملها كامل المسؤلية عن حماية الصحفيين وحياتهم في مناطق سلطتها.
كما تدعو المجموعة المنظمات الدولية ومكتب المبعوث وجميع الجهات ذات الشأن الضغط على السلطات في المكلا لكفها عن هذا السلوك الشائن وتتعهد بمتابعة نقل معاناة الصحفيين والإعلاميين في المكلا لكل الجهات الدولية ذات العلاقة.
