A statement of condemnation issued by southern Yemen civil society organisations for the repressive acts against peaceful demonstrators in Shabwa Governorate, Yemen.
We, the southern civil society organizations, express our strong condemnation of the repressive actions committed by the special military forces of the Yemeni authority in Shabwa governorate against the civilian citizens who went out in peaceful demonstrations in a number of districts of Shabwa governorate, including Ataq district, the capital of the governorate, to commemorate Southern Land Day and express their right to restore their southern state.
Today, Wednesday, the forces of the Authority raided the sites of events and suppressed the demonstrations by using excessive force, including shooting live bullets at the demonstrators, and launched a campaign of arrests for the participants, targeting mainly the leaders of the Southern Transitional Council, and the leaders of civil and social organizations in the governorate.
These forces also bombed the homes of citizens in Upper Baqadir, Mayfa'a district, which raised terror among the residents, and led to the tense security situation, putting it at risk of explosion.
These actions come within the framework of a prior plan aimed at suppressing peaceful demonstrations and preventing citizens from their right to express their aspirations to restore their free and independent state.
Where it was recorded that six people were injured in the peaceful march in the High Directorate of Baihan, and they are

3) Ahmed Ali Al-Najjar
4) Yahya Muhammad Al-Hugais
5) Mustafa Taha Bahish
6) Taher Khamis Hadir
And five of the participants were also arrested
1- Nasser Saleh Muqlim Al-Khulaifi
2- Silan Hanash Pars Al-Awlaki
3- Fahd Ahmed Demesh Al-Sulaimani
4- Basem Salem Muhammad Al-Rabl Al-Khulaifi
5- Ahmed Salem Sioud Al-Sulaimani
As southern civil society organizations, we see these acts as grave violations of human rights, which are inconsistent with international and local laws.
And we hold the responsibility of perpetrating these special military forces led by Colonel Abd Rabbah Lakab, and under the direction of General Muhammad bin Adyo, the governor of Shabwa governorate.
In the face of these heinous violations, we call on the presidency of the Yemeni legitimate state to quickly order the release of detainees, justice for the victims and the issue of the perpetrators of those violations.
We also call on the leadership of the Arab coalition to stand up to these violations and take responsibility for bringing security and peace in Shabwa governorate and protecting the people from the oppression and suppression of the special military forces that have turned into armed militias out of the law.
We call on the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and other international organizations to condemn these grave violations, document them in the bad record of the Yemeni government, and submit them to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, as they pose a threat to the security and safety of citizens in the southern governorate of Shabwa.
Attached to this note is a list of the names of the victims, including the wounded and detainees, and the other material damages.

بلاغ لوضع حد لانتهاكات القوات المحسوبة على الحكومة اليمنية بحق الفعاليات السلمية والمتظاهرين السلميين الجنوبيين.

بيان إدانة صادر عن منظمات المجتمع المدني الجنوبية للاعمال القمعية بحق المتظاهرين السلميين في محافظة شبوة.
نحن منظمات المجتمع المدني الجنوبية، نعرب عن إدانتنا الشديدة للأعمال القمعية التي ارتكبتها القوات العسكرية الخاصة للسلطة اليمنية في محافظة شبوة بحق المواطنين المدنيين الذين خرجوا في مظاهرات سلمية في عدد من مديريات محافظة شبوة ومنها مديرية عتق عاصمة المحافظة، لإحياء ذكرى يوم الأرض الجنوبية والتعبير عن حقهم في استعادة دولتهم الجنوبية.
فقد اقدمت قوات السلطة اليوم الاربعاء على مداهمة مواقع الفعاليات وقمع المظاهرات باستخدام القوة المفرطة بما فيها اطلاق الرصاص الحي على المتظاهرين، وشن حملة اعتقالات للمشاركين فيها، استهدفت بدرجة رئيسية قيادات المجلس الانتقالي الجنوبي، وقيادات المنظمات الأهلية والاجتماعية في المحافظة.
كما اقدمت تلك القوات على قصف منازل المواطنين في صعيد باقادر مديرية ميفعة مما أثار الرعب بين الأهالي، وادى الى توتير الاوضاع الأمنية، ووضعها على محك الانفجار.
حيث سجل سقوط سته من الجرحى في المسيرة السلمية في مديرية العليا بيحان وهم وشملت أسماء جرحى جرائم مليشيا الإخوانية:

2-ناصر عبدالله أحمد هادي
3-أحمد علي النجار
4-يحيى محمد الحقيص
5-مصطفى طه بهيش
6-طاهر خميس حدير
كما سجل اعتقال ستة من المتظاهرين في مديرية نصاب وهم :

3) محمد ياسر بامجبور
4) عبدالعزيز مبارك
5) محمد صالح عبيد
6) محمد سالم عوض الحني عتق
وعدد خمسة من المعتقلي في عاصمة المحافظة عتق وهم :
1-ناصر صالح مقلم الخليفي
2-سيلان حنش بارس العولقي
3-فهد احمد ديمش السليماني
4-باسم سالم محمدالربل الخليفي
5-احمد سالم سيود السليماني
تاتي هذه الاعمال في اطار خطة مسبقة تستهدف قمع التظاهرات السلمية، ومنع المواطنين من حقهم في التعبير عن تطلعاتهم في استعادة دولتهم الحرة والمستقلة.
اننا كمنظمات مجتمع مدني جنوبية، نرى في تلك الاعمال انتهاكات جسيمة لحقوق الانسان، تتنافى والقوانين الدولية والمحلية. ونحمل مسؤولية إرتكابها تلك القوات العسكرية الخاصة بقيادة العقيد عبد ربة لعكب، وبتوجية من الجنرال محمد بن عديو محافظ محافظة شبوة.
امام هذه الانتهاكات الفضيعة، ندعو رئاسة دولة الشرعية اليمنية الى سرعة الأمر باطلاق سراح المعتقلين، وانصاف الضحايا ومسألة مرتكبي تلك الإنتهاكات.
كما ندعو قيادة التحالف العربي الى الوقوف أمام تلك الإنتهاكات وتحمل مسؤولية إحلال الأمن والسلام في محافظة شبوة وحماية الأهالي من بطش وقمع القوات العسكرية الخاصة التي تحولت الى مليشيات مسلحة خارجة عن القانون.
وندعو مفوضية الامم المتحدة لحقوق الانسان والمنظمات الدولية الاخرى الى إدانة تلك الانتهاكات الجسيمة، وتوثيقها في السجل السيئ للحكومة اليمنية، والرفع بها الى الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة باعتبارها تشكل خطر على أمن وسلامة المواطنين في محافظة شبوة الجنوبية.
