The authority of the legitimate government recruits many children to put them into the armed forces and exploits them politically by pushing them to the demonstrations that support them, this is inconsistent with international laws and the efforts of the United Nations and UNICEF to reduce exploit the children.
The Southern Group monitored many documents and photos that were published on social media showing the exploitation of children, whether by recruiting them or in rallies in support of the legitimate government in Yemen, which was called by the governor of Shabwa Governorate, Bin Adiou.
“Children associated with armed forces or armed groups endure massive violence - often compelled to witness and commit acts of violence and are subjected to abuse, exploitation, injury or even death. This situation deprives them of their rights, and is often accompanied by severe physical and psychological consequences”.

تقوم سلطة الحكومة الشرعية بتجنيد العديد من الاطفال والزج بهم في القوات المسلحة واستغلالهم سياسيا عبر الدفع بهم للمظاهرات المؤيدة لها وهذا يتنافى مع القوانين الدولية وجهود الأمم المتحدة واليونسف في الحد من استغلال الأطفال في النزاعات المسلحة.
فقد رصدت المجموعة الجنوبية عدد من الوثائق والصور التي تم نشرها عبر وسائل التواصل الإجتماعي تظهر استغلال للأطفال سواء عبر تجنيدهم او في مسيرات داعمة للحكومة الشرعية في اليمن والتي دعى لها محافظ محافظة شبوة بن عديو.
"الأطفال المرتبطون بالقوات المسلحة أو الجماعات المسلحة يتعرضون لعنف هائل – ويضطرون غالباً لمشاهدة وارتكاب أعمال العنف ويتعرضون للإيذاء أو الاستغلال أو الإصابة أو حتى القتل. ويحرمهم هذا الوضع من حقوقهم، ويصاحبه غالباً عواقب جسدية ونفسية قاسية".
