SIG condemns the maritime piracy by Al-Houthi in the Red Sea, which is a violation of international humanitarian law.
The Southern Independent Group condemns the maritime piracy and threatening Navigational line in the Red Sea carried out by the Houthi militia, the latest of which was the detention of the Emirati ship Rawabi by the Ansar Allah Houthi movement off the coast of Hodeidah, and this is a matter of grave concern.
The latest event increases the risks of escalation further, undermines the ongoing efforts to end the fighting, undermines a peaceful solution to the crisis in Yemen, and exacerbates the accumulated human suffering.
The naval operations carried out by the Houthi militia, which is a violation of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions. In particular, this applies to the provisions that support the protection granted under the Second Geneva Convention of 1949 to medical ships and aircraft.
The Southern Independent Group for the Defense of Human Rights calls for the release of the ship with its crew immediately and calls for restraint to avoid further tensions, which in turn pose a great danger to the aggravation of the humanitarian crisis towards civilians.

المجموعة الجنوبية المستقلة تدين القرصنة البحرية من قبل الحوثي في البحر الاحمر والتي تعد انتهاكًا للقانون الدولي الانساني.
تدين المجموعة الجنوبية المستقلة القرصنة البحرية وتهديد خط الملاحة الدولي في البحر الأحمر التي تقوم بها حركة الحوثي وكان آخرها احتجاز السفينة الإماراتية روابي من قبل حركة أنصار الله الحوثية قبالة ساحل الحديدة ويعتبر ذلك أمر يبعث على القلق البالغ.
الحدث الاخير يزيد من مخاطر التصعيد بشكل أكبر ويقوض الجهود الجارية لإنهاء الاقتتال ويقوض الحل السلمي للأزمة في اليمن ويفاقم المعاناة الإنسانية المتراكمة
العمليات البحرية التي قامت بها حركة الحوثي والتي تعد انتهاك صارخ للقانون الدولي الانساني واتفاقات جنيف. وينطبق ذلك خاصة على الأحكام التي تدعم الحماية الممنوحة بموجب اتفاقية جنيف الثانية لسنة 1949 للسفن والطائرات الطبية.
المجموعة الجنوبية المستقلة للدفاع عن حقوق الانسان تطالب بالإفراج الفوري عن السفينة وطاقمها وندعو إلى ضبط النفس لتلافي المزيد من التوترات والتي بدورها تشكل خطورة كبيرة على تفاقم الازمة الإنسانية تجاه المدنيين .
