SIG for the Defense of Human Rights calls on the international community to protect civilians in Shabwa.
The Southern Independent Group for the Defense of Human Rights calls on the United Nations and the international community to assume their humanitarian responsibilities by saving the people of southern Yemen in general , and civilians in Shabwa governorate in particular from terrorist operations and violence targeting them by terrorist elements
whether they are members of the Brotherhood and Houthi militias or the forces supported by Yemeni forces stand against the aspirations of the people of southern Yemen towards independence, self-determination and the establishment of their independent state.
The group recently monitored dozens of violations against innocent civilians, where carried out by armed elements affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, the "Islah Party" of the legitimacy, and Al- Houthi group, these violations may amount to crimes against humanity.
The Southern Independent Group for Human Rights indicates that, in the meantime, the Shabwa governorate in southern Yemen is subjected to continuous and multiple attacks against innocent citizens from inside and outside the governorate.
In the face of this catastrophic situation, the Southern Independent Group for the Defense of Human Rights calls on the Arab coalition and the Southern Transitional Council forces to play their role in protecting the governorate from the security chaos that threatens Al- Houthi armed group to invade the governorate which will cause major violations against innocent civilians, destroy public and private property, plunge the governorate into the furnace of terrorism, killing,destruction,and this would harm the interests of innocent citizens and increase human rights violations.
The Southern Independent Group calls on human rights organizations and citizens in Shabwa governorate to report and monitor any human rights violations to the group, which are carried out by the elements of extremism and terrorism affiliated with the Islah Party and Al- Houthi movement, so that the victims can ensure a fair trial for the perpetrators of these crimes.

تدعو المجموعة الجنوبية المستقلة للدفاع عن حقوق الإنسان الأمم المتحدة والمجتمع الدولي إلى تحمل مسؤولياتهم الإنسانية بإنقاذ شعب جنوب اليمن بشكل عام والمدنيين في محافظة شبوة بشكل خاص من عمليات الإرهاب والعنف التي تستهدفه من قبل عناصر الإرهاب سواء أكانت عناصر تتبع مليشيات الاخوان والحوثي أو القوات المدعومة من قبل قوى يمنية تقف ضد تطلعات شعب جنوب اليمن نحو الاستقلال وتقرير مصيره واقامة دولته المستقلة.
رصدت المجموعة مؤخرا عشرات الانتهاكات بحق المدنيين الابرياء، حيث قامت بها عناصر مسلحة تابعة لجماعة الاخوان المسلمين "حزب الاصلاح" التابعة للشرعية وجماعة الحوثي ، قد ترقى هذه الانتهاكات الى مستوى جرائم ضد الانسانية.
تشير المجموعة الجنوبية المستقلة لحقوق الإنسان أنه وفي هذه الأثناء تتعرض محافظة شبوة في جنوب اليمن لهجمات مستمرة ومتعددة ضد المواطنين الأبرياء من داخل المحافظة وخارجها ، وإزاء هذا الوضع الكارثي تدعو المجموعة الجنوبية المستقلة للدفاع عن حقوق الانسان التحالف العربي وقوات المجلس الانتقالي الجنوبي للقيام بدورهم بحماية المحافظة من الفوضى الأمنية والتي تهدد بإجتياح الجماعة المسلحة الحوثية للمحافظة والذي سيتسبب بإنتهاكات كبيرة بحق المدنيين الأبرياء وتدمير الممتلكات العامة والخاصة وإدخال المحافظة في اتون الإرهاب والقتل والتدمير وهذا من شأنه الاضرار بمصالح المواطنين الابرياء ويزيد الانتهاكات لحقوق الانسان.
تدعوا المجموعة الجنوبية المستقلة المنظمات الحقوقية والمواطنين في محافظة شبوة برفع ورصد أي انتهاكات لحقوق الإنسان للمجموعة، والتي تقوم بها عناصر التطرف والإرهاب التابعة لحزب الإصلاح الإخواني وحركة الحوثي، لكي يتمكن الضحايا من ضمان محاكمة عادلة لمرتكبي تلك الجرائم.
