The Southern Independent Group gathers the parties of the conflict in Yemen at a symposium on releasing prisoners and detainees.

On the sidelines of the current session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, the Southern Independent Group (SIG )for the Defense of Human Rights held a video conference, A symposium on the exchange of prisoners and detainees, and the need to move forward in this file between the parties to the Yemeni crisis, on Friday, July 9, 2021 AD, attended by all parties to the conflict in Yemen to present their view and in front the public opinion to move forward towards making progress in this file leading to a final solution for this human file.
The member of the Southern Independent Group, Mr. Nasr Al-Essaei, opened the symposium by welcoming the representative of the internationally recognized Yemeni government, representatives of the Sana’a authority, "Ansar Allah - the Houthis", and the representative of the Southern Transitional Council "Aden" and the attendees, Recalling that the first track of the peace tracks led by the United Nations in the Yemeni crisis is the track of building confidence between the parties to the conflict in the country and that the most important file in the process of building confidence is the file of releasing prisoners and detainees between the parties, He stressed that the initiative of the Southern Independent Group to hold this symposium came According to the sensitivity of this file and its importance in the humanitarian aspect, wishing all parties to give this humanitarian file the necessary attention away from complex political differences.
Where the Yemeni government was represented by Mr. Majed Faseel, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Rights and a member of the Prisoners and Detainees Affairs Committee, in which he presented the government's viewpoint to move forward in the process of releasing prisoners and detainees and spoke about the obstacles that the government faced in completing this file , He expressed the government's readiness to implement all the agreements signed between the government and the Houthis and welcomed any efforts to resolve this file.
The authority of Sanaa was also represented by "Ansar Allah - the Houthis", Mr. Abdul Qadir Al-Murtada, head of the Prisoners' Affairs Committee, who in turn presented the Houthis' viewpoint for the release of prisoners between the parties, and expressed the Houthis' readiness for any local and international initiative to move forward in this file, Expressing regret for the delay in practice through international efforts, He stressed that the Houthis are ready to negotiate with all actors on the ground through local mediation, including with the Southern Transitional Council, and to release the southern prisoners, led by the Major General Mahmoud al-Subaihi, Major General Nasser Mansour Hadi, and Major General Faisal Rajab, in exchange for the southerners to exchange Houthi prisoners who were captured by southerners in the South and West Coast governorates.
the Lawyer Niran Suqi, represented by the Southern Transitional Council, is a member of the Presidency and responsible for the human rights file in the Council. In her intervention in the symposium, she presented the Southern Transitional Council's viewpoint and its quest for the release of southern prisoners in Houthi and Brotherhood prisons, led by the Minister of Defense Major General Mahmoud al-Subaihi, Major General Nasser Mansour Hadi, and Major General Faisal Rajab, expressing the Southern Transitional Council's welcome for any local and international efforts to move forward in the process of releasing prisoners and detainees between the three parties to the crisis in Yemen.
Then the discussion and questions was opened for the audience, as most of them stressed that little progress has been achieved in this file through local mediation and the office of the UN envoy to Yemen, but many complications are not clear in this file and the release of all prisoners and detainees .
Where thousands of prisoners and detainees have been in the prisons of the parties for years, and no significant progress has been made in this file so far, and the audience expressed the importance of this file, We are thankful for the role of the Southern Independent Group for the Defense of Human Rights and its efforts in holding this symposium in which all parties of the conflict in Yemen gather to present their view and public opinion to move forward towards making progress in this file to reach a final solution to this humanitarian file.
At the end of the symposium, representatives of all parties agreed to welcome any local efforts made by civil society organizations, led by the Southern Independent Group, and any local or international mediators to reach any initiatives that would move negotiations and release prisoners and detainees, even if they were on certain numbers until reaching the release of everyone.
المجموعة الجنوبية المستقلة تجمع أطراف الصراع في اليمن في ندوة حول ملف اطلاق الاسرى والمعتقلين

على هامش الدورة الحالية لمجلس الامم المتحدة لحقوق الانسان عقدت المجموعة الجنوبية المستقلة SIG للدفاع عن حقوق الانسان عبر الإتصال المرئي ، ندوة عن تبادل الأسرى والمعتقلين وضرورة المضي قدما في هذا الملف بين الاطراف في الازمة اليمنيه يوم الجمعة ٩ يوليو ٢٠٢١م، حضرها جميع الاطراف في الصراع في اليمن لتقديم نظرتهم وأمام الراي العام للمضي قدما نحو إحراز تقدم في هذا الملف بما يفضي الى الوصول الى حل نهائي لهذا الملف الإنساني.
افتتح عضو المجموعة الجنوبية المستقلة السيد نصر العـــيسائي الندوة بالترحيب بممثل الحكومة اليمنية المعترف بها دوليا وممثلي سلطة صنعاء "انصار الله-الحوثيين" وممثل المجلس الانتقالي الجنوبي "عدن" وبالحضور، مذكراً بأن المسار الأول من مسارات السلام التي تقودها الأمم المتحدة في الازمة اليمنية هو مسار بناء الثقة بين اطراف الصراع في البلاد وأن اهم ملف في مسار بناء الثقة هو ملف إطلاق سراح الاسرى والمعتقلين بين الاطراف، مؤكدا ان مبادرة المجموعة الجنوبية المستقلة لعقد هذه الندوة جاء وفقاً لحساسية هذا الملف ولما يمثله من أهمية في الجانب الانساني متمنيا من جميع الأطراف إيلاء هذا الملف الإنساني الاهتمام اللازم بعيدا عن الخلافات السياسية المعقدة.
حيث مثل الحكومة اليمنية المعترف بها دوليا السيد ماجد فصائل وكيل وزارة حقوق الانسان وعضو لجنة شؤون الاسرى والمعتقلين، قدم فيها وجهة نظر الحكومة للمضي قدما في عملية إطلاق سراح الاسرى والمعتقلين وتحدث عن العراقيل التي واجهت الحكومة في انجاز هذا الملف، وابدى استعداد الحكومة لتنفيذ كل الاتفاقيات الموقعة بين الحكومة والحوثيين ومرحبا بأي جهود من شأنها ان تؤدي الى حلحلة هذا الملف.
كما مثل سلطة صنعاء " انصار الله- الحوثيين " السيد عبدالقادر المرتضى رئيس لجنة شؤون الاسرى، والذي بدوره قدم وجهة نظر الحوثيين لإطلاق سراح الاسرى بين الأطراف وابدى استعداد الحوثيين لأي مبادرة محلية ودولية للمضي قدما في هذا الملف، معربًا عن آسفه للتأخير الذي يمارس من خلال الجهود الدولية والأممية، مؤكدا ان الحوثيين مستعدون للتفاوض مع جميع الأطراف الفاعلة على الارض عبر وساطات محلية بما في ذلك مع المجلس الانتقالي الجنوبي واطلاق سراح الاسرى الجنوبيين وعلى رأسهم اللواء محمود الصبيحي و اللواء ناصر منصور هادي واللواء فيصل رجب مقابل ان يقوم الجنوبيين بالتبادل بالأسرى الحوثيين الذين أسرهم الجنوبيين في محافظات الجنوب والساحل الغربي.
المحامية نيران سوقي مثلة المجلس الانتقالي الجنوبي وهي عضو هيئة الرئاسة ومسؤول الملف الحقوقي في المجلس ، ففي مداخلتها في الندوة قدمت وجهة نظر المجلس الانتقالي الجنوبي وسعيه الى إطلاق سراح الاسرى الجنوبيين في السجون الحوثية والإخوانية وفي مقدمتهم وزير الدفاع اللواء محمود الصبيحي واللواء ناصر منصور هادي واللواء فيصل رجب، معربه عن ترحيب المجلس الانتقالي الجنوبي في اي جهود محلية ودولية للمضي قدما في عملية أطلاق الاسرى والمعتقلين بين الأطراف الثلاثة في الازمة في جهةٍ اليمن.
ثم تم افتتاح باب النقاش والاسئلة للحضور حيث اكد اغلبهم على ان ما تحقق قليل من التقدم في هذا الملف من خلال وساطات محلية و عبر مكتب المبعوث الاممي لليمن , ولكن هنالك الكثير من التعقيدات الغير واضحه في هذا الملف واطلاق جميع الاسرى والمعتقلين ، حيث يقبع الآلاف من الأسرى والمعتقلين في سجون الأطراف منذُ سنوات ولم يحرز اي تقدم ملحوظ في هذا الملف حتى الآن، وعبر الحضور عن اهمية هذا الملف ، شاكرين دور المجموعة الجنوبية المستقلة للدفاع عن حقوق الانسان وجهودها في اقامة هذه الندوة التي تجمع فيها جميع اطراف الصراع في اليمن لتقديم نظرتهم وأمام الراي العام للمضي قدما نحو إحراز تقدم في هذا الملف للوصول الى حل نهائي لهذا الملف الإنساني.
وفي نهاية الندوة اتفق ممثلي جميع الأطراف على ترحيبهم بأي جهود محلية تقوم بها منظمات المجتمع المدني وفي مقدمتهم المجموعة الجنوبية المستقلة واي وسطات محلية او دولية للوصول الي اي مبادرات من شأنها تحريك المفاوضات وإطلاق الأسرى والمعتقلين حتى وان كانت على اعداد معينة حتى الوصول الي أطلاق سراح الكل مقابل الكل.
