SIG meets the Chief Correspondent of the Media Department of the United Nations Human Rights Council.

As part of its ongoing activities at the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, SIG met today, Wednesday, September 21, 2022 AD, with the chief correspondent for the media department of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, Mr. Daniel Johnson. The meeting dealt with the latest developments in the southern and Yemeni arena and the humanitarian situation in the region in general. The meeting reviewed what citizens suffer in the south and Yemen from violations of their civil rights. Members of the southern group also touched on the issue of the southern and Yemeni human rights situation and the right of the south to self-determination, and ways to enhance the media presence of the southern and Yemeni cause in the international media, including international news agencies.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Nasr Al-Esai and Mr. Anis Abdullah on behalf of the Southern Independent Group, and it was agreed to keep in touch to provide information when needed.
SIG continues its efforts in the Human Rights Council to convey the southern and Yemeni voices and the humanitarian needs of the different parties to put the file of the south and Yemen on all discussion and dialogue tables to respond to all the fallacies practiced against the people of the south and the people of Yemen under different names.

ضمن نشاطها المتواصل في مجلس حقوق الإنسان التابع للأمم المتحدة في جنيف التقت المجموعة الجنوبية المستقلة اليوم الاربعاء ٢١ سبتمبر ٢٠٢٢م بكبير المراسلين بقسم الإعلام لمجلس الامم لحقوق الانسان في جنيف السيد دانيل جونسون حيث تناول اللقاء اخر التطورات في الساحة الجنوبية واليمنية والحالة الإنسانية في المنطقة بالعموم، وفي اللقاء تم استعراض ما يعانيه المواطن في الجنوب واليمن من انتهاكات حقوقه المدنية ، كما تطرق اعضاء المجموعة الجنوبية لموضوع الوضع الجنوبي واليمني الحقوقي وحق الجنوب في تقرير مصيره وعن سبل تعزيز الحضور الإعلامي للقضية الجنوبية واليمنية في وسائل الإعلام العالمية ومنها الوكلات الإخبارية العالمية .
حضر اللقاء عن المجموعة الجنوبية المستقلة كلا من الاستاذ نصر العيسائي والاستاذ أنيس عبدالله وتم الإتفاق على البقاء على اتصال للتزويد بالمعلومات عند الحاجة.
هذا وتواصل المجموعة الجنوبية المستقلة جهودها في مجلس حقوق الإنسان لإيصال الصوت الجنوبي واليمني والإحتياجات الإنسانيه للأطراف المختلفة لوضع ملف الجنوب واليمن على كل طاولات النقاش والحوار للرد على كل المغالطات التي تمارس ضد شعب الجنوب وشعب اليمن تحت مسميات مختلفة.
