The Southern Independent Group organize a closed discussion session in the British House of Commons on peace in Yemen.

Yesterday, September 6, 2023, the Southern Independent Group organized a discussion session in the British House of Commons to discuss ways for peace in Yemen, attended by several British parliamentarians, a group of representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations, regional and international strategic studies centers, and a number of those interested and specialized in southern and Yemeni affairs.
Professor Amr Al-Baidh, a member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council and Advisor to the President of the Council for Foreign Affairs, and Dr. Abu Bakr Al-Qirbi, the former Yemeni Foreign Minister, participated in the closed discussion session, where they presented their two points of view for a comprehensive political, economic and social solution to the crisis in Yemen.
The British diplomat and analyst in Yemen affairs, Honorary Vice President and former President of the Yemeni-British Association, Noel Brehony, and the British Member of Parliament, Mr. John Spiller, also participated, where they presented their views on peace in Yemen.
A discussion took place between the participants about permanent peace in Yemen and how to reach a comprehensive and just peace agreement that is consistent with the aspirations of the southern people and the Yemeni people and ensures the interest of humanity and that the human being and his interest are the focus of attention.
This closed discussion session will issue recommendations regarding the paths of political, economic, and social settlement in Yemen and a vision for the final, comprehensive solution to the crisis, which will be submitted to the British Parliamentary Committee by all parties concerned with the affairs of the South and Yemen and all international, regional and international organizations, strategic studies centers and decision-making centers as a contribution from the independent Southern Group in Peace efforts in Yemen.

نظمت يوم امس الاول 6/ 9/ 2023 المجموعة الجنوبية المستقلة جلسة نقاشية في مجلس العموم البريطاني لبحث سبل السلام في اليمن،حضرها عدد من البرلمانيين البريطانيين ومجموعة من مندوبي المنظمات الحكومية والغير حكومية ومراكز الدراسات الاستراتيجية الاقليميةوالدولية وعدد من المهتمين والمتخصصين في الشأن الجنوبي واليمني.
شارك في الجلسة النقاشية المغلقة الاستاذ عمرو البيض عضو هيئة رئاسة المجلس الإنتقالي الجنوبي ومستشار رئيس المجلس للشؤون الخارجية و الدكتور ابوبكر القربي وزير الخارجية اليمني السابق، حيث قدما وجهتي نظرهم للحل السياسي والاقتصادي والاجتماعي الشامل للازمة في اليمن .
كما شارك الدبلوماسي البريطاني والمحلل في شؤون اليمن نائب الرئيس الفخري والرئيس السابق للجمعيةاليمنية البريطانية نويل بريهوني وشارك ايضا عضو البرلمان البريطاني السيد جون سبيلر، حيث قدموا وجهات النظر حول السلام في اليمن،
ودار نقاش بين المشاركين حول السلام الدائم في اليمن وكيفية التوصل لاتفاق سلام شامل وعادل بما يتوافق مع تطلعات الشعب الجنوبي والشعب اليمني ويضمن مصلحة الانسان وان يكون الانسان ومصلحته محور الاهتمام.
هذا وستصدر عن هذا الجلسة النقاشيةالمغلقة توصيات بخصوص مسارات التسوية السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية في اليمن ورؤية للحل النهائي الشامل للأزمة والتي ستسلم الى اللجنة البرلمانية البريطانية من كل الاحزاب المختصة بشؤون الجنوب واليمن وكل المنظمات الدولية والاقليمية والاممية ومراكز الدراسات الاستراتيجية ومراكز صنع القرار كمساهمة من المجموعة الجنوبية المستقلة في جهود السلام في اليمن.
