Southern human rights activist at the Geneva meeting: Sana'a women subjected to egregious abuses

Anis Abdullah, head of Al-Rasid, is ready to provide any information about abuses against women in areas controlled by the Houthi militia” the Iranian arm” in Yemen.

The southern human rights activist, a member of the Southern Group, speaking in Geneva on the sidelines of the 42nd session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland, described the abuses which the women had been suffered by the Houthi militia as an atrocity.

And said "Women in Sanaa between two options: either to engage in intelligence work for the militia. Or to remain silent," . According to a report by the UN Human Rights Committee, the abducted women are held in secret prisons and subjected to physical and sexual abuse.

أبدى أنيس عبدالله، رئيس منظمة الراصد لحقوق الإنسان، استعداد منظمته تزويد أية جهة بالمعلومات اللازمة حول الانتهاكات التي تتعرض لها النساء في مناطق سيطرة مليشيا الحوثي، الذراع الإيرانية في اليمن.

الناشط الحقوقي الجنوبي، وهو عضو المجموعة الجنوبية، في مداخلة له بجنيف على هامش انعقاد الدورة الـ42 لمجلس حقوق الإنسان المنعقدة بمدينة جنيف السويسرية، وصف الانتهاكات التي تتعرض لها النساء من قبل مليشيا الحوثي بالفظيعة.

وقال، "إن النساء في صنعاء بين خيارين: إما أن ينخرطن في العمل الاستخباراتي لصالح المليشيا. أو أن يسكتن".

وكان تقرير للجنة خبراء حقوق الإنسان في الأمم المتحدة، ذكر أن النساء المختطفات يتم احتجازهن في سجون سرية ويتعرضن معها لصنوف الاعتداءات الجسدية والجنسية .
