SIG holds an important meeting with the Office of the Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Expression at the United Nations.

In the context of meetings and communication with UN organizations carried out by SIG.
SIG held a meeting this morning, Wednesday, July 6, 2022 AD, with the office of the Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of the right to freedom of opinion and expression at the United Nations at the headquarters of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva.
During the meeting, the most prominent violations that affect journalists in Yemen were reviewed, including assassinations, kidnappings, harassment and intimidation that affect them while practicing their work, reviewing all violations committed by all parties to the conflict in Yemen, which included monitoring all reports and regarding the censure, which represented the following 55 % of violations committed by Ansar Allah movement ( the Houthis) ,and 20% of the violations were committed by the internationally recognized Yemeni government, including the Brotherhood’s Islah party, in addition to 25% of the violations committed against an unknown person, and 5% of the violations were committed by the rest of the other actors on the ground.

في إطار اللقاءات والتواصل مع المنظمات الأممية التي تقوم بها #المجموعة_الجنوبية_المستقلة قامت المجموعة صباح اليوم الاربعاء ٦ يوليو ٢٠٢٢م بعقد لقاء مع مكتب المقرر الخاص المعني بتعزيز وحماية الحق في حرية الرأي والتعبير بالأمم المتحدة بمقر المفوضية السامية لحقوق الانسان في جنيف.
وجرى خلال اللقاء إستعراض أبرز الانتهاكات التي تطال الصحفيين في اليمن من إغتيالات وإختطافات والتضييق والترهيب الذي يطالهم أثناء ممارسة أعمالهم، مستعرضًا كافة الانتهاكات التي ارتكبتها جميع أطراف النزاع في اليمن والتي وتضمنت رصد كل التقارير وبالنسبة المؤيه والتي تمثلت بالآتي ٥٥٪ من الانتهاكات ارتكبتها حركة أنصار الله الحوثية و ٢٠٪ من الانتهاكات ارتكبتها الحكومة اليمنية المعترف بها دوليا بما في ذلك حزب الإصلاح الاخواني بالإضافة الى ٢٥٪ من الانتهاكات قيدت ضد مجهول و ٥٪ قامت فيها باقي الأطراف الاخرى الفاعلة على الأرض.
حضر اللقاء عن مكتب المقرر الخاص السيدة جينيفر جوكستاد وعن المجموعة الجنوبية المستقلة عضوي المجموعة نصر العيسائي وشادي علوان ، ومن محافظة الحديدة اليمنية الصحفي بسيم الجناني وعبر الزوم المختطف السابق في سجون ميليشيا الحوثي الصحفي عصام بلغيث.
